A Multi-Purpose Creative Studio
The Sound Wall is owned by Rob & Jen Slocumb of the band Martha's Trouble. Jen and Rob Slocumb have been performing as Martha's Trouble for a couple of decades. Their original music defies easy categorization but uses elements from folk, Americana, contemporary country and alternative rock. They have an international fan base and 12 studio recordings to their credit.
The couple purchased this historical Victorian home, built in 1907, in February 2016. After completing major renovations to the house, the Slocumbs have repurposed the home into a multi use recording studio with an artist residence. The Sound Wall includes two studio rooms, an ISO room, a chefs kitchen for culinary arts, a protools/logic pro control room, and a 1000 sqft loft apartment for artist hospitality.
The Sound Wall is a destination studio, for artists looking to escape the big cities. Conveniently located in Historic Opelika, AL - 1.5 hrs from Atlanta, 2 hrs from Birmingham, 45min from Montgomery.
The multi use space is also available to the community, as the Slocumbs plan on hosting monthly supper clubs, concerts, songwriting events and more.
